Brigadier W.H.U.D Wijeratne assumed office as the Officiating Director General of the Army Health Services (DGAHS) at Army Headquarters in a simple ceremony on 11 July 2024 amidst religious observances.
During the ceremony, New Acting DGAHS signed an official document signifying his official acceptance of the new appointment. He succeeds Major General P.A.C Fernando USP.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Office of DGAHS participated in the event.
