Colonel Subhashan Liyanagama of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) assumed office as the 8th Officiating Brigade Commander of the 663 Infantry Brigade of the 66 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Wednesday (19) at Jayapuram, Pooneryn during a brief ceremony. Religious observances prioritized the event.
The newly-appointed Officiating Brigade Commander was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance of the 663 Infantry Brigade Headquarters upon his arrival by 15 Sri Lanka Artillery troops. As a token of memory, the new Officiating Brigade Commander planted a mango sapling in the 663 Infantry Brigade Headquarter premises, followed by a troop address.
He succeeded Colonel Lasantha Rodrigo who left for an overseas course.
