New Officers’ Accommodation Building Inaugurated at MIR Headquarters

A newly-constructed Officers’ accommodation building was inaugurated for the Officers of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) on 07 July 2024 at the Regimental Headquarters premises. Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Force (Jaffna) and the Colonel of the Regiment of MIR, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The accommodation complex, fulfilling a long-felt need in the Regiment, feature 6 rooms equipped with all necessary facilities. Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of MIR participated in the opening ceremony.
