Major General Sisira Pilapitiya, the newly-appointed Commander Security Forces - Mullaittivu formally visited 64, 68 and 59 Divisions and other under command formations of the SFHQ-MLT respectively after his recent assumption of office as the Commander.
The visiting Commander Security Force Mullaittivu was warmly welcomed by Major General Manjula Karunarathne, General Officer Commanding of the 64 Division on Saturday (26), and given a briefing on their role and tasks. He also visited Muthiyankattu and Wasthipura recruits training schools during the visit to the area.
Thereafter, he visited 68 Division and was welcomed by Major General Keerthi Bandara, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division Tuesday (29). During the visit, the new Commander Security Forces - MLT inspected accommodations, roadblock duties of the troops, imported places and also health conditions of respective duty points.
Finally, he visited the 59 Division and was welcomed by Major General P.D Sooriyabandara, General Officer Commanding of the 59 Division on Sunday (4). During the visit he inquired into facilities.
During the visit Commander Security Forces - MLT addressed the troops, planted saplings and posed for group photographs in respective places. Major General Sisira Pilapitiya shared few words with all ranks along with the Senior Officers, Commanding Officers. Finally, he left compliments in visitors' books of those places.
