New Ministers, State Ministers & District Chairmen Sworn in by HE the President at Historic 'Magul Maduwa'

Swearing-in ceremony of Cabinet Ministers, State Ministers and Chairmen for District Coordinating Committees of the new government, headed by HE the President and Hon Prime Minister took place this morning (12) at the historic 'Magul Maduwa' (audience hall) in Kandy amid religious blessings of the members of the Maha Sangha.

Those appointed for above offices took the oath before HE the President and received their letters of appointment on the occasion. A host of invitees including the First Lady, Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, Spouse of the PM, Mrs Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Parliamentarians-elect, State officials, including the Secretaries to the President, Prime Minister, Secretary Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Navy and Air Force Commanders, acting Inspector General of Police, spouses of the invitees and relatives were present at the location.
