Lieutenant Colonel Ismail Naseer, Defence Attache of the Embassy for Maldives in Sri Lanka called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the office of the Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters this morning (22).
During the cordial discussion, Commander of the Army and the Maldivian Defence Attaché shared thoughts on the military history of both countries and exchanged views on matters of bilateral interest and recalled the longstanding relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
