New Jaffna Commander Makes Formal Visits

Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku, made his first official visit to 51 Infantry Division Headquarters after assuming duties as the Commander Security Force - Jaffna on Tuesday 22 July 2021.

The Security Force Commander was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division and was accorded a guard turnout at the main entrance. The visiting Security Force Commander addressed the troops at the gymnasium. The troop address was followed by planting a Mango sapling (Mangifera Indica), group photograph, briefing of the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division and all ranks tea.

Later, Security Force Commander visited the 512 Infantry Brigade. He was invited to plant a Mango sapling in the Brigade premises as a token of memory. Finally, Commander visited the 14th Battalion The Gajaba Regiment and 17th Battalion The Gemunu Watch.

Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and troops of the 51 Infantry Division also participated in the series of events.
