A new holiday bungalow, erected facing Iranamadu tank in Kilinochchi for the use of officers and other ranks in the Army was opened on Monday (10) after a brief ceremony.
Construction of these holiday bungalows for all ranks was directed by the Commander of the Army as an extension of Army welfare measures.
11 Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) troops as well as 24 Gemunu Watch (GW) troops jointly erected the new holiday resort with two furnished rooms at a cost of Rs 2 million.
Opening ceremony was attended by 11 ESR Second in Command Officer and several other officers. Many other ranks were also present at the time of the ceremonial opening.
