New Governor for Northern Province Calls at Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna)

The new Governor for Northern Province Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayahan made a courtesy visit to the Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) with the objective of receiving an update on the ongoing community projects of the Army and the security situation in the area 02 November 2024.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) after welcoming him presented a briefing to him and explained him the series of community roles being performed by the Army. Afterwards, Honourable Governor made his complimentary notes in the Visitors’ Book.

The Honourable Governor also paid courtesy visit to the CIMIC Park – Palali and the Multi – Sports Court PalaIi. Before leaving from the premises, he planted a ‘Tamarind’ plant to mark the first official visit.

Major General W.B.J.K Wimalaratne RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division and Staff Officers of the Security Force Headquarters were also associated with the activity.
