New GOC in 56 Division Takes Office

The 26th General Officer Commanding of the 56 Division of the Security Force HQ - Wanni Major General Saman Liyanage assumed office on Monday (20) amid 'Seth Pirith' blessings of the Maha Sangha at the 56 Division Headquarters.

Staff Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event adhering to health guidelines. After placing his signature for an official document, he symbolized the acceptance of the new office. Later on, he addressed the Officers and set out his vision before joining for refreshments with All Ranks.
