Major General L.P.R Premalal who has been recently appointed the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - North Central (FMA- North Cen) during a brief ceremony assumed duties as the 24th the FMA Commander - North Central of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni.
A formal Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour greeted the new FMA Commander upon his arrival at the Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters premises at Anuradhapura in keeping with military traditions.
Afterwards, amid religious blessings, he left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office.
An All Rank tea arrangement and a troop address were among other major highlights in the agenda.
