Brigadier Chandana Ranaweera of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, the new Director, Directorate of Veteran Affairs (DVA) of the Army assumed duties on Wednesday (22) at his office as the 9th Director of Veteran Affairs.
At his new office, Brigadier Chandana Ranaweera made religious observances and symbolically placed his signature for a formal document to signify the acceptance of his new appointment. Afterwards, he was introduced to Senior Officers, Officers and members of his staff at the Directorate of Veteran Affairs.
He succeeds Brigadier Sarada Samarakoon who was appointed as the new General Officer Commanding, 62 Division of the Security Force HQ - Wanni.
