Brigadier L.G.B Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP of the Gemunu Watch assumed office as the new Director of Quality Assurance and Inspection on 23 July 2024 at Army Headquarters.
The new Director signed an official document amidst religious observances to mark the acceptance of his new role.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division. Brigadier L.G.B Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP succeeded Major General T.C. Pieris RSP USP, who has been appointed as General Officer Commanding of the Engineer Division.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate participated in the event.
