Brigadier Lakshman Bamunusinghe of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police assumed office as the 13th Director, Directorate of Provost at the Army Headquarters during a simple ceremony on Monday (13).
The newly-appointed Director formally signed an official document to symbolize his acceptance of the new office after religious observances at the occasion.
He succeeded Brigadier Anil Illangakoon who has now been appointed the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu.
Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate of Provost at the Army Headquarters were present during the occasion.
Brigadier Lakshman Bamunusinghe was the Brigadier Administration and Quartering (BAQ) at Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna before this new appointment.
