New Director Infantry Assumes Duties

Brigadier S.J Kariyakarawana RWP RSP USP, of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, assumed office as the new Director Infantry at the Directorate of Infantry at Army Headquarters on 15 July 2024 during a brief ceremony.

Following brief religious observances, the newly appointed Director Infantry signed an official document marking the acceptance of his new role.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Director of the Directorate of Army Band & Performing Arts. Staff Officers and Other Ranks in the Directorate of Infantry attended the occasion.
