New Director Engineer Services Assumes Office

Brigadier E.A.D.K Edirisinghe of the Corps of Engineer Services assumed duties as the new Director Engineer Services at the Directorate of Engineer Services at Army Headquarters on Thursday (17 August) during a brief religious ceremony at the Army HQ.

The incoming new Director symbolically placed his signature for a formal document amid chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha signifying the acceptance of the new appointment.

He succeeds Major General K.M.S Kumara who has now retired from the Army. The new Director, Brigadier E.A.D.K Edirisinghe served as Brigadier Administration and Quartering of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna prior to this appointment.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate of Engineer Services were present at the occasion.
