Brigadier N.A.M.P Nagahawaththa RSP of the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment assumed duties as the new Director of the Directorate of Asset Management on 3 August during a simple ceremony at his Army HQ office.
He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature in an official document, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha in the presence of several officers of the Directorate.
He succeeds Brigadier K.K.S Perakum RWP RSP, who has now been appointed as the Deputy General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division.
