Brigadier B.N Madanayake RWP RSP of the Gemunu Watch assumed duties as the new Director of the Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock on Friday (June 16) during a brief religious ceremony at the Army Cantonment in Panagoda.
The incoming new Director symbolically placed his signature for a formal document amid chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha signifying the acceptance of the new appointment at the auspicious minute.
He succeeds Brigadier A.K Rajapaksa RSP who has now been appointed the Commander of Forward Maintenance Area - North Central. The new Director, Brigadier B.N Madanayake RWP RSP served as the Commandant at Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama prior to this appointment.
Several Senior Officers, Officers and Staff Officers of the Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock were present at the occasion.
