New DG Infantry Makes Formal Visits to Infantry Training Schools

The newly-appointed Director General Infantry, Major General Duminda Keppetiwalana making formal visits inspected five infantry battalion training schools in the Northern province during 12 - 13 July.

During the visits, he inspected the Vasawilan Infantry Battalion Training School (51 Division area), Widaththapalai Infantry Battalion Training School (52 Division area), Ampakamam Infantry Battalion Training School (57 Division area), Pampemadu Infantry Battalion Training School (61 Division area) and the Manik Farm Infantry Battalion Training School (54 Division area) in the Jaffna peninsula and the Wanni areas respectively.

He also interacted with General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers and made inquiries into the needs for improvement of training facilities.
