Major General A.K.S Perera, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) recently declared opened a new dental unit at Vavuniya Field Hospital for the use of officers and soldiers serving the SFHQ-W.
The Army run field hospital remained without a dental unit plus X-ray facilities for a long time, compelling them to either seek assistance from Anuradhapura or elsewhere.
Major General Perera after opening the new unit met soldiers receiving treatment in the field hospital and shared a couple of views with them. He also made inquiries into the medical and other needs during the visit.
The visiting Wanni Commander was accompanied by SFHQ-W (admin) Brigadier A.K.P Wickremasinghe, 211 Brigade Commander, Brigadier P.M.S.A Pallemulla and several other senior officers.
