Brigadier D.A Amarasekara USP of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers assumed office as Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu (FMA-MLT) on 14 June at his office in Nandikadal.
In accordance with military traditions, FMA - MLT troops presented a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the camp premises before he entered his office to symbolically place his signature in the first official document, amidst chanting of 'Seth Pirith' by monks in the presence of Staff Officers and Other Ranks.
He was also invited to plant a sapling in the compound to mark the assumption of office as the Commander Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu.
