Colonel Rohan Medagoda assumed duties as the 28 Commandant at the School of Artillery amid religious blessings and military formalities at the Headquarters on Tuesday (25).
The newly-appointed Commandant of the School of Artillery was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the School of Artillery. Afterwards, he was invited to plant a sapling as a gesture of memory. Later on, he placed his signature in the first official document to mark his assumption of duties, amidst chanting of 'Seth Pirith' in the presence of senior officers.
