New Commandant at MIR Training School Assumes Duties

Colonel D.S Walpita Gamage RSP of Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) assumed duties as the new Commandant of Mechanized Infantry Regiment Training school at Vauniya on Thursday 7 January amidst religious observances and military formalities.

He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature in an official document in the presence of several Officers of the Training School and afterward, he addressed the troops in the compound and explained his vision for the future developments of the MIR Training School.
