New Commandant of ITC Assumes Duties

Brigadier M.P.N.A Muthumala USP psc assumed duties as the new Commandant of the Infantry Training Centre (ITC), Minneriya during a brief ceremony held on 06 May 2024 amidst religious observances and military formalities.

The newly appointed Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officers and greeted in a Guard Turnout by troops of ITC. Afterwards, he signed an official document, symbolizing the formal acceptance of the office amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha. Following this, the Commandant planted a sapling in the compound, commemorating the inauguration of his office. He then addressed the troops at the ITC auditorium.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the ceremony.
