Brigadier M.K.L.A. De Silva RSP USP psc assumed duties as the 16th Commandant of the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) during a brief ceremony held at the IPSOTSL on 9 December 2024.
Upon his arrival, the Commandant was welcomed by the Senior Instructor of IPSOTSL and accorded a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance by the troops. Thereafter, the Senior Officer officially marked the commencement of his duties by signing an official document in his office amidst religious observances.
To commemorate the occasion, a sapling was planted in the compound, followed by the troops address. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
