Brigadier P.D.N.I. Almeida RSP assumed duties as the New Commandant of the 'Abimansala 1' Wellness Resort in Anuradhapura on 11 November 2024, amidst religious blessings and military formalities.
The Incoming Commandant was warmly welcomed by Senior Officers following a Guard Turnout accorded by troops. At his new office, he signed an official document, symbolising the formal acceptance of his new office, amidst religious blessings. Afterward, the new Commandant planted a sapling in the compound and took time to inquire about the well-being of the war heroes under rehabilitation at the centre.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
