New Chief of Staff Calls on Commander of the Army

Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, the newly-appointed Chief of Staff (COS) paid his first formal courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army at the Commander’s office on Friday (22 December) after he assumed office on Wednesday (20).

The Army Commander conveyed his sincere congratulations to the new Chief of Staff of the Army and exchanged views on responsibilities that lie ahead for the Chief of Staff during the interactions.

Similarly, the Army Chief giving encouragement for his future performances in the new office requested him to fulfill duties with his full potential.
