New Chief of Staff Assumes Duties at Army HQ

Major General W.P.A.D.W. Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment assumed office as the 65th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army at the Army Headquarters.

The newly appointed Chief of Staff signed an official document, symbolising the acceptance of his new role amidst the chanting of Seth Pirith by the Maha Sangha. Following this, the Chief of Staff interacted with the monks and offered pirikara and gilanpasa.

Prior to this appointment, the Senior Officer served as the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. Senior Officers, Officers, Staff Officers, and Other Ranks at the Chief of Staff's office attended the inauguration of the new office.
