Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc during a simple ceremony assumed office as the new Chief Field Engineer (CFE) of the Army at the Army Headquarters on Thursday (8 June 2023).
On arrival at the office, the new CFE signed an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office amid religious observances.
Prior to this new appointment, he served as the General Officer Commanding, Engineers Division.
He succeeded Major General M.K Jayawardana RSP VSV USP ndu who has now been appointed the Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu.
Principle Staff Officers, council members of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Senior Officers and Officers attended the event.
