Colonel I.D.S Dharamarathne RSP Isc assumed duties as the new Commandant, Battalion Training School (BTS), Mulankavil, Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on 30 May 2024 amidst religious observances and military formalities.
The incoming Commandant was warmly welcomed by Senior Officers of BTS after he was greeted in a Guard Turnout salute at the entrance. Afterwards, he symbolically left his signature for an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office after own religious observances. He also left memories by planting a sapling inside the BTS compound.
He subsequently addressed the troops, outlining his vision for the role. He emphasized the significance of teamwork in achieving prosperity for the School and promoting a positive image of the Sri Lanka Army.
