New Army Veterans’ Affairs Section Incorporated into All Regiments

Not forgetful of priceless and invaluable contribution they made towards the growth of the Sri Lanka Army, the Directorate of Staff Duties at Sri Jayewardenepura Army Headquarters, consequent upon personal directions given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army has incorporated a special administration branch exclusively for veterans at all Regimental Centres in the Army.

This newly-established Veterans’ Affairs Section in respective administrative branches at Regimental Centres would ensure those veterans are well cared and their needs attended to through proper coordination.

In this connection, Director, Directorate of Staff Duties, Brigadier Chandana Wijesundera as per guidelines given by the Commander of the Army held a few rounds of meetings with Deputy Centre Commandants of all Regimental Centres before this Veterans’ Affairs Section was established and made operational as a viable alternative to address issues, pertaining to those retired War Heroes, some of who remain disabled for the rest of their lives as a result of wounds sustained in the battlefields.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva who maintains the highest regard for the Seniors and veterans wanted this special Veterans’ Affairs Section to completely support their well-being and assist them in whatever the way possible through this new service component, introduced to every Regimental Centre. buy shoes | Nike Air Max 270 - Deine Größe bis zu 70% günstiger
