Newly recruited 125 Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) trainee officials upon completion of their one-month long field training in Jaffna, left for Colombo recently after meeting the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J).
Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander, SFHQ-J during his interaction with them at the SFHQ-J highlighted the importance of making their public service career a sacred one since each and every one of them is expected to serve the aspirations of the public, to whom they are committed to work.
Those trainee officers during their training worked under various administrators in the peninsula in order to receive a proper assessment of Jaffna people’s mindset, religious and cultural ethos and their livelihoods as that understanding would help promote harmony and reconciliation among various ethnicities.
Major General Hathurusinghe, together with Jaffna District Secretary Mr. S. Arumainayagam and other Divisional Secretaries present at the occasion, extended best wishes on their future career.
