New 573 Brigade Commander Assumes Office

Brigadier Manoj Madurappreruma assumed duties as a new Commander of the 573 Brigade, amid religious blessings at the Headquarters in Mankulam on Friday (13).

The newly-appointed Commander of the 573 Brigade of the 57 Division of the Security Force HQ-Kilinochchi was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the 3 Gajaba Regiment. Afterwards, Brigadier Manoj Madurapperuma placed his signature in the first official document to mark his assumption of duties, amidst religious observances in the presence of Senior Officers.

Brigadier Madurapperuma, prior to this new appointment served as the Commandant of the Engineers Training School in Embilipitiya.

An All Rank tea and the formal address to the Officers and Other Ranks culminated the day’s proceedings. Commanding Officers and Brigade staff were present at the occasion.
