The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 54 Division, Major General Darshana Wijesekera made his first formal visit to the 541 Brigade, 542 Brigade and 543 Brigade HQs and their respective under command battalions in Mannar a few days ago.
During the visit, the GOC inspected roadblocks, deployed in the areas and Coastal Observation Points, established by under command battalions.
Brigade commanders of the 542 Brigade, 543 Brigade, few Staff Officers of the 54 Division and Commanding Officers joined the formal visits.
