Major General S.H.F.P Perera recently assumed duties as the new General Officer Commanding (GOC), 12 Division at the Divisional Headquarters, Hambantota.
On arrival at the Headquarters, the newly appointed GOC received a Guard Turnout and subsequently a Guard of Honour presented by 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops.
Later on, he planted a Mango sapling at the Headquarters premises as a symbol of memory. An all rank tea party afterwards enabled the attendees to share a couple of views with the new GOC.
Senior Officers and Officers and Other Ranks of the 12 Division attended the event.
