The visiting Nepal’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Rajendra Chhetri on Friday (19) had separate courtesy audiences with Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Mr Kapila Waidyaratne PC and Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne in their specific offices.
The visiting Army Chief of Nepal called on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne PC at the office in the Ministry of Defence and had a cordial round of discussion on matters of security interests. An exchange of symbolic mementoes brought the cordial meeting to an end.
In the meantime, the visiting Nepal Army Chief paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne. Both of them exchanged greetings and views on matters of bilateral importance with special focus on security matters.
