Negombo Rotary Club Offers Bicycles to Low-Income Students In Kilinochchi

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) in coordination with Negombo-Rotary Club led by Mr Freddy Cruise showed goodwill and generosity towards students living in Kilinochchi area by donating 80 push bicycles for distribution amongst low-income group students on Tuesday (5) at ‘Nelumpiyasa’ Auditorium, Kilinochchi.

At the invitation of the Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN), Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, members of the Negombo Rotary Club initiated the charity programme for the benefit of Kilinochchi students.

65 selected low-income students from Mallavi, Vishvamadu, Pooneryn areas and 15 students of the Don Bosco College were benefitted under the project.

The Commander, SF-KLN graced the occasion as the chief guest and handed over those bicycles.

Rev Father Pius George, Principal at Don Bosco College, Mr Freddy Cruise, Negombo Rotary Club, General Officers Commanding of under command Divisions, Commanding Officers, Parents, Students and Several Military officers and civilians took part in the distribution programme.
