NDU Team in Pakistan Shares Views with Commander of the Army

A 17-member student delegation of Pakistan’s National Defence University (NDU), currently in Sri Lanka on a familiarization study tour called at the Army Headquarters and had an interactive meeting with the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on Tuesday (16).

The delegation, led by Air Commodore Mustafa Anwer is comprised of 10 Army Officers, 4 Air Force Officers, 2 Navy Officers and 1 Civilian and includes Officers from Bangladesh, Iran, Nepal and Pakistan.

Air Commodore Mustafa Anwer, Directing Staff and Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Faisal, the senior most course participant called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the Commander’s office and exchanged views on conduct of these professional study courses and their relevance to the present day context.

At the end of the cordial interaction, exchange of mementos as symbols of goodwill took place. Similarly, the entire delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the role and task of the Army from Major General Aruna Wanniarachchi, Director General Training at the Conference Hall after the meeting with the Commander was over.

Colonel Sajjad Ali, Defence Attaché in Pakistan’s High Commission in Colombo, together with Major General Aruna Wanniarachchi, Director General Training attended the meeting with the Commander of the Army.

During their stay in Sri Lanka, the delegation is scheduled to have separate meetings with the Secretary Defence, Navy and Air Force Commanders, several military Commanders and visit the Institute of National Security Studies in Sri Lanka, Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations, Kotelawela Defence University (KDU) and a few other places for interactive sessions. spy offers | THE SNEAKER BULLETIN
