NCOTS Marks New Year

Members of the Non-Commissioned Officers Training School (NCOTS) at Kalaoya held its annual New Year celebration at its premises on Thursday (8).

The priority was given to the traditional games and features. Folk games and folk songs, traditional games were prominent during the event.

The artificially-built Govi Gedara, Gama Gedara, Weda Gedara and Maha Gedara depicting an ancient village turned attractive and received the public attention.

A total of 36 members serving at the NCOTS received New Year gifts from the Commandant at the school during the same occasion.

Members of the permanent staff, course students, civil staff serving in the NCOTS and the civilians in Kalaoya area joined the event.

Deputy Director at the Vocational Training Authority (VTA) - Anuradhapura, Officer-In-Charge, Police at Saliyawewa together with other guests attended the (NCOTS) Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration.
