To coincide with the New Year spirits, Non-Commissioned Officers Training School (NCOTS) at Kalaoya, Saliyawewa held its New Year festival at the NCOTS parade grounds on Thursday (9).
Traditional folk games, marathon races, selection of New Year prince and princess, tug of war, fun-making events and many other spectacles added colour during the arrangement.
Brigadier Jayampathi Thilakaratne, Commandant, NCOTS as the Chief Guest together with several senior officers watched the day’s arrangements.
