The change-over of the President’s ceremonial guard at the President’s House and the Temple Trees from Sri Lanka Army’s Corps of Military Police (SLACMP) to Sri Lanka Navy members, took place this morning (1) at a brief ceremony in front of the President’s House at Colombo Fort.
SLACMP troops after serving a period of 6 months handed over those ceremonial duties to the troops of Sri Lanka Navy after signing formal documents to that effect.
The brief ceremony saw the troops exchanging greetings towards the end of the event.
