With the sponsorship, provided by Jaipur artificial limb production centre, Army troops recently organized a programme to distribute some artificial limbs to the civilians in Mullaittivu area.
With the coordination of the civil authorities, troops serving the 59 Division selected those deserving 15 civilians with disabilities due to war-affected injuries.
Several religious leaders, state officials, Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), Brigadier G.R.H Dias, General Officer Commanding 59 Division and a few more civil leaders and military officers witnessed the distribution.
