Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaithivu (SFHQ-MLT), distributed school bags and accessories, provided by ‘Goodness Foundation’ of Mr Kushil Perera to 150 needy school children in the SFHQ-MLT area during a brief event at the Government’s Tamil Mixed School in Karipaddapurippu on Monday (15).
In response to a request made by Major General Jagath Dias, Commander, SFHQ-MLT, the donation was made available by the ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ (Goodness Foundation) in order to provide welfare assistance to low- income groups in the area.
Brigadier W.M.R.B Walisundara, Brigade Commander, 641 Brigade attended the occasion as the chief guest. Mr Kushil Perera, Managing Director of the ‘Goodness Foundation’, principal, teachers and students of the School, participated in the distribution ceremony.
