‘Nithya Kalyani Jewellers’, ‘Hydramani Apparels’ and UK - based ‘Tesco Company’ jointly sponsored the supply of school uniforms to the students in Mullaittivu area in coordination with the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) during a recent ceremony, held at Mulliyaveli Vidyanandan Vidyalayam.
Under the project, 80 students were awarded school books and accessories. In addition, new uniforms for another 373 students, were also given away at the same occasion.
Brigadier S.I.M.A.R Senevirathne, 592 Brigade Commander, attended the occasion as the Chief Guest, together with Mullattivu Educational Director, Mrs. Aadawan, Vice Principal, Vidyananda School, Ven Padma Kumar Sharma, Kurukkal at Uthankerai Kovil, senior officers, teachers and parents.
The programme has been given blessings by Major General Jagath Dias, Commander, SFHQ-MLT.
