Major General Darshana Wijesekera, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu, conducted a routine field visit to the 681 Infantry Brigade and its area of responsibility on Monday (Mar 13) with the intention of inspecting the well-being of the troops serving in the area.
The itinerary began with a visit to the 9 Sri Lanka National Guard camp, located in Chalai, followed by the inspection of the radar unit established at the Navy Detachment, Challai. Afterwards, he reached the 6 Gemunu Watch camp at Udayar Kattukulam and interacted with the troops stationed at different static points.
Major General Senaka Kasturimudali, General Officer Commanding, 68 Infantry Division, Brigadier Dammika Gunathunga, Commander, 681 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were associated with the day’s events.
