Upon assumption of office as the Commander of the Security Forces -Mullaitivu Major General M. K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu made his first visit to the 64 Infantry Division HQ on 30 June 2023.
On his arrival, the newly-appointed Mullaittivu Commander was warmly welcomed by Major General H. D. W. K. N Eeriyagama RWP RSP after a Guard Turnout greeted him at the entrance.
Afterwards, the new Mullaittivu Commander received a briefing on the functions, role and tasks of 64 Infantry Division troops from Major General H. D.W.K. N Eeriyagama in a powerpoint presentation. The visiting Mullattivu Commander sat for a few group photographs as memories of the day.
Major General M. K Jayawardena also placed some compliments in the Visitors' Book before his departure.
After a while, the new Mullaittivu Commander visited 641 and 643 Brigades as well as other units in Wasanthipuram and Mannankaandal areas.
