A few more than 400 flood-affected students at Sugandipuram Tamil Maha Vidyalaya and Irattamadu Tamil Maha Vidyalaya in Mullaittivu through Dialog Axiata sponsorship, organized by the Security Force Headquarters – Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) received school accessories and essentials as relief assistance during a recent ceremony, held at Sugandipuram Tamil Maha Vidyalaya premises.
Donation of those incentives, distributed under the ‘Senehe Siyapatha’ project of the SFHQ-MLT, launched by Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces – Mullaittivu (SF-MLT) exclusively to assist flood-affected student community in the district was made a success through the joint coordination, provided by Disaster Management Ministry and Ministry of Defence. Students of both schools assembled there to receive those essentials during the ceremony, headed by Brigadier A.S Ariyasinghe, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division as the Chief Guest. Ms Rupavathi Ketheeshwaran, District Secretary for Mullaittivu attended the distribution ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
