Mulankavil Battalion Training School Begins Recruit Training Course

The Recruit Training Course No l at the Battalion Training School in Mulankavil was inaugurated on Tuesday (27) at during a brief ceremony where Brigadier Wasantha Bandara, Commander 651 Brigade delivered the opening remarks as the Chief Guest.

In line with the 'Sri Lanka Army Way Forward Strategy - 2020-2025' the Army has launched a drive to recruit five digit number of recruits as soldiers including tradesmen and non-tradesmen to the Army Regular and Volunteer Forces in the year 2021.

The new training course with 288 new recruits will continue for four months under strict health guidelines under the supervision of the 65 Division and the Commander Security Forces - Wanni.

The group, consists of 11 recruits of Sri Lanka Army Mechanized Infantry Regiment, 103 recruits of Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment, 109 recruits of Sri Lanka Army Special Forces, 54 recruits of Military Intelligence Corps and 11 recruits of Sri Lanka Army National Guard started their training after the brief inaugural ceremony.
