The Sri Lanka Nippon Educational and Cultural Centre (SLNECC) in collaboration with the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna once again awarded scholarships to 12 more students in Jaffna after inviting them to the Nagaviharaya in Jaffna town on Sunday (28).
The arrangement, led by Ven Meegahathenne Chandrasiri Thero, General Secretary SLNECC saw Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna give away those scholarships which provide monthly financial installments for continuation of their studies. In addition, a stock of school accessories were also gifted to the beneficiaries at the same occasion.
The conduct of the event at Naga Viharaya was supported by 512 Brigade’s Civil Affairs Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Jagath Kumara and 14 Gajaba Regiment troops of the 512 Brigade.
Several Buddhist monks, Senior Army Officers, Officers and Parents of the students were present during the occasion. During the same weekend, the SLNECC gave away scholarships to some more students at Navatkuli Vidyalaya, along with school accessories. Mysneakers | adidas
