More Sri Lankan Expatriates Brought Down –NOCPCO

As of this morning (15), a total of 670 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified person, including the majority 214 from Colombo district, 116 from Gampaha district, 90 from Kandy district and other 250 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (15), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 47,105. Meanwhile, 40,989 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from the fish market (37,930) and Minuwangoda (3,059) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

By this morning (15), a total of 50,901 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 43,746 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,904 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (15), 480 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. 04 more deaths have been reported from Dummalasuriya, Colombo 13, Galgamuwa and Ginthota areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 251 by this morning (15).

By this morning (15), the flight UL 455 from Japan with 37 passengers, the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 28 passengers and the flight UL 607 from Australia with 44 passengers have arrived.

The flight UL 554 from Germany with 8 passengers, the flight UL 102 from the Maldives with 6 passengers, the flight UL 1208 from Italy with 31 passengers and the flight PS 6385 from Ukraine with 80 passengers, the flight UL 190 from Bangladesh with 7 passengers, the flight TK 730 from Turkey with 8 passengers, the flight UL 320 from Malaysia with 11 passengers, the flight MU 231 from China with 29 passengers, the flight UL 206 from Oman with 290 passengers, the flight ET 8602 from Ethiopia with 70 passengers, the flight KQ 228 from the USA with 43 passengers and the flight SQ 468 from Singapore with 17 passengers are expected to arrive here within the day. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
